My first computer was a suitcase

I remember when my Dad showed me the portable computer that he had purchased and was really excited about in the 1980βs.
It was a Compaq Portable and it looked like a piece of luggage to me at first. I thought how cool to see an all-in-one computer. And the green screen was amazing π€©
With itsβ looks, it felt like we were going on a trip, how fun! My Dad travelled frequently for work and sometimes, when the timing was right, my mom, my sister, and I went with him to explore while he went to his meetings. I digress.
When I was leaving to go to college and lived in the dorms my freshman year (attending ASU majoring in computer science at that time), my Dad told me I could bring the computer with me. I was so happy and carried this luggage like box to my third floor dorm excited to see where this would lead me.
I was ready to tackle the world with my new-to-me, all-in-one, green screen with a floppy and a hard disk drive, IBM like PC running on power from an AC outlet only. π₯
And it had WordPerfect 5.0 already installed π₯ππΌ
Oh the sweet memories!
